Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking three Non-Executive Directors to join its Board. It is an exciting time to join the Trust as we navigate change in the NHS and social care landscape, and as we look to improve our culture and governance. Our Non-Executive Directors play a key role in making this happen.

We are particularly seeking individuals with finance and audit backgrounds and qualifications who are able to fulfil the roles of Chair of the Finance Committee, and the Chair of the Audit and Assurance Committee.  We are also keen to hear from individuals who have experience and/or qualifications in Culture Change and Organisational Development.

With significant strategic-level experience and a proven capability to challenge, contribute to, and support the vision and strategic objectives of comparably complex organisations, the appointed individuals will be able to evidence experience of holding senior management teams to account and in turn are accustomed to a high level of accountability. Whilst NHS experience is not essential, the appointed individuals will bring relevant experience which they can translate effectively to our environment; and be able to demonstrate their capacity to absorb and understand health and social care policy, stakeholders, and governance requirements including an appreciation of the risks we manage in our services. You will demonstrate sound judgement and political acumen that will bring focus and a fresh perspective to our aims as a system partner within a significant public service organisation.

About our organisation

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital services from two large district general hospitals, as well as outpatient clinics and some surgery services from community hospitals throughout Gloucestershire. Our 8,000 colleagues provide services to almost 620,000 people across our county and we have an annual income of £620m. We are a key partner in the One Gloucestershire ICS, and we have an ambitious five-year strategic plan to transform our hospital services.
