Description

Join the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as our Director of Improvement and Delivery

Shape the Future of Healthcare in Gloucestershire

At Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are a team of 9,000 dedicated professionals, committed to delivering exceptional care to over 670,000 people across Gloucestershire and beyond. We are driven by our ambition to provide the best possible care and outcomes for our patients and communities.

As we conclude our ambitious five-year strategic plan to transform our services, we recognise the importance of our partnerships in realising the benefits of the changes that have been made across the Trust.

Following the challenges of the pandemic and the current cost of living crisis, we are determined to play our part in addressing societal inequalities and meet the increasing demand for our services. As we evolve to face future challenges and opportunities, our goal remains to help people live longer, healthier lives within the community.

Be Part of Our Leadership Transformation

With a new Chief Executive, we are reshaping our Executive Team. We are seeking a leader who is curious, ambitious and compassionate and who shares our ambition to not only improve health outcomes but also enhance life chances.

If you are passionate about the wellbeing of our people – those we care for and those we work with - ready to challenge the status quo, build collaborations, and identify new opportunities to meet future challenges, this key role on our board could be your next career move.

Improving and Delivering

As our Director of Improvement and Delivery, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the Trust’s strategy. With our current five-year strategy concluding this year, you will lead the development of a new one, engaging closely with our staff and communities – ensuring alignment to the work that has already taken place as part of the One Gloucestershire Integrated Care System. You will spearhead the Trust’s approach to service improvement, and implement an improvement methodology across the Trust.

Additionally, you will be the executive lead for the Trust’s health inequalities agenda and play a pivotal role in developing the Trust as an anchor organisation.

Are You the Leader We Are Looking For?

We are seeking an experienced senior leader with a deep understanding of translating strategy into operational reality, improvement methodologies and a proven track record of delivering transformation with large, complex, service-focused organisations.

We understand the significant challenges we face and are looking for a director who is people and partnership-focused, recognising that their work is for our staff and patients.
